We had another (and final) stop on the way to Milford Sound. It seems that the couple who were late for the bus didn’t hold up the tour. We didn’t know what we were going to see. We parked in the car park and told we had half an hour to follow the path. To where we didn’t know. It was quite funny when we headed for the path. We had no idea where we were going or what we were going to see. When I walked past the sign it was blocked by people walking beside me so I still had no idea what I was going to see.
From the carpark you suddenly step into a rainforest. The temperature dropped by a few degrees and there was a lot moss on the ground. It wasn’t until we walked for about 5 mins when we began to hear water. I thought we were headed to a waterfall but we suddenly approached a bridge. Below the bridge was an almost raging river. It was spectacular. It was so rocky below and this was causing a lot more noise. The water had also carved out many interesting rock features in the river.
We continued walking along the path until we suddenly came out to the carpark. Then it was back on the bus for the most exciting part of the day: the 2 hr cruise on Milford Sound.
