La Trobe’s Cottage

???

La Trobe’s Cottage is an historic cottage in Melbourne. It was the home of the first superintendent, Charles La Trobe of the Port Phillip District of New South Wales as Victoria was known in 1839. It was originally prefabricated and built in Jolimont near where the MCG is now. It was moved to Kings Domain, behind the Shrine of Remembrance, and is now run by the National Trust.
