Aussies love BIG icons


Yes, it’s true. Dotted throughout the country are big icons such as the big Ned Kelly (a bushranger from the 1800’s), the big pineapple, banana, prawn, lobster and koala (my favourites) to name a few.

I think they started popping up in the 1970’s to attract people and give tourists a reason to stop in these towns. They’ve now become cult figures with some people wanting to visit all of them in their lifetime.
