Wattle trees are one of my favourite varieties of trees. It is the Australian floral emblem and it’s 1000 species can be found all over the country. They provide a spectacular contrast to the red dirt of the outback and are very popular in the gardens of our major cities.
For me, I love it when they start to flower towards the end of winter, signifying the season I don’t like is coming to an end. The beautiful yellow flowers provide some cheer against the grey skies.
